Rings and Pretty Things 2

Like I said in my first blog post on handmade jewelry, every time I wear a piece of handmade jewelry I get so many compliments. Here are more of my favorites from my handmade jewelry collection. All of which can be found & purchased on Etsy.

Pearl Cluster Bracelet $28-30
I'm glad I received this dark pink bracelet for Christmas. Because if I had to choose one bracelet to put on my Christmas list it would be one tough decision. AMIdesigns has so many beautiful pearl colors and combinations! Even the toggle clasp is pretty! I wore this out to dinner with my friends and they loved it.

Pearls and Ribbon in Tiffany $25
I love any piece of jewelry combining bows & pearls. I wore this necklace for my birthday dinner. I paired it with a black top and it really dressed up my outfit. This necklace is from themustardseedco.

Petite Fabric Rosette Earrings $7.00
Lovestitched takes handmade fabric roses and uses them to create lovely accessories like rings, earrings, and even headbands. As you can see, I love tiffany blue and chose a pair of rose earrings. These little roses are post earrings and cover most of the ear lobe. They come in many pretty colors, and at $7 a pair you can afford to get more than one.

Mini Lou Rosette Hair Pins $7.00
I also purchased these Rosette Hair pins from Lovestitched's shop. I chose the hot pink and dark grey as my set of two. I love wearing one of these to pin back my hair when I curl my hair.

Nude Nails

I've been searching for a natural, nude nail polish color for awhile now but never ended up deciding on one. My Ulta Rewards allowed me to pick out two salon nail polishes so I finally decided on a sandy beige color.

I've always been partial to just about every color in the nail polish rainbow, except I've never owned a nude polish. (Although after thinking about getting into the St. Patrick's Day spirit last month, I realized I do not own any variation of green polish either.) This beige color, Sand Tropez, is by Essie and is part of their Spring collection.

Two coats sans a top coat

My collection mainly consists of OPI, mostly because I am a big fan of their wider brush. However, after this purchase, I think I will begin adding more Essie polish to my collection. The formula of Sand Tropez was very easy to work with and I'm in love with the color. I plan on purchasing the other neutral color in the collection, Topless and Barefoot, which is described as a "barely there soft beige pink."

What do you think, do you like nude nails trend? Any nude/neutral/natural polish recommendations?

Blocks of Color

A Spring trend seen all over the runway is known as "color blocking." Color blocking is when you mix different bright or bold colored clothes together into one outfit. For example: a hot pink blouse, lemon yellow skirt and royal blue shoes. When I try this look, I'm going to add pops of color using bright nail polish.

Because this trend looks like so fun to put together, I've decided to try color-blocking my makeup bags. This collection was so much fun to put together and I love how these makeup bags turned out.

This Spring trend is so much fun and can't wait to put some outfits together. Now if only "Spring" would really get here in the Northeast...

Rings and Pretty Things

One of my favorite things to shop for on Etsy is jewelry. Every time I wear a piece of jewelry from Etsy I get several compliments on that piece and people asking me where I bought it. Compliments don't happen nearly as often when I wear a piece from a chain store. With so many talented jewelry sellers on Etsy, it can be hard to choose. Here are some of my favorite Etsy jewelers (check back for part 2 including necklaces and bracelets). Enjoy & let me know your favorites!

Queen of Hearts Earrings.
Who says you can't mix gold and silver? I love these earrings from 3RexesJewelry for exactly that reason. They look medieval yet are still very girly with a pretty pink stone set in a heart. I'm not sure if 3rexes still makes my particular earring, however, she has plenty of other really pretty sets up for sale.

Satin Bow and Pearl Earrings $10
I get so many compliments on these bow and pearl earrings when I wear them. I purchased these earrings in turquoise and I loved them so much, I went back and bought them in black too. Everything in MademoiselleMermaid is so bright and colorful- perfect for the upcoming spring and summer seasons! She just added pink (and black) polka dotted bow earrings to her shop. So cute- not sure how long I'm going to be able to resist...

Blue Drusy with Hearts Ring $92
I used to collect rocks when I was little. My favorites were the ones that sparkled. When I saw this ring from luckyduct, it reminded me of my sparkly rock collection. I had to buy it and decided it would be a "celebration" ring for my one year Etsy anniversary. Believe me, it's even sparklier (is that even a word?) in person!

Pink Topaz Pink Rock Fetish Ring $168

With so many pretty rings in onegarnetgirl's shop, I had such a hard time choosing what ring to put on my Christmas list. Then I saw this ring- as soon as I saw the *hot pink* stone I was sold. I love this ring! (Here it is pictured sitting on my glass heart ring holder ($32) from providenceartglass.)
