 I'm so happy my order arrived quickly. My MAC foundation is too dark for my now pale fall/winter complexion. I have a wedding to attend this weekend where my boyfriend is a groomsmen so I'm glad my foundation will match for pictures.

Pretty Polishes: Butter London Haul

I picked up a few polishes during the Ulta's Butter London BOGO free sale last week. I had chose 4 colors, however, the fourth color (Muggins, a really pale lilac purple) color was sold out and did not ship. I was disappointed because I was most excited for that polish.

Because my fourth Butter London didn't ship and I didn't want to swatch only 3 nails, I decided to swatch HRH (the purple) which I had picked up awhile ago.

Just from these swatches, I can tell I'm going to really like the formula of these Butter London polishes. They applied nice and evenly with two coats of polish. The only problem I had was with the polish I had purchased previously, HRH. I'm not sure if it's just my particular polish, but it applies very uneven.

I chose three colors that I think will work perfect for fall. Now bring on the fall weather!

Zoya Haul

Recently, Zoya had an amazing "insider" promotion. Account holders received a code for 2 free polishes with any purchase. (Zoya has had some really great promotions for their account holders, which is free to sign up!) I needed a new base coat and more nail polish remover, so now seemed like the perfect opportunity to try Zoya nail polish.

Zoya's Remove + ($9.99 for 8oz) has a flip top/pump system similar to the remover bottles you see in salons. I love this idea because I usually ending up soaking the cotton balls/pads in wayyy too much remover.


The base coat is known as Anchor ($7.96) and the top coat is Armor. I love creative product names. Of course, the first thing I want in a product is quality but I can't help but be drawn to cute packaging and names.

I picked up two polishes (normally $8 each) from Zoya's new Smoke & Mirrors collection. The two colors are from the Smoke rich cream series. Mirrors series contain sparkle, shimmer & metallic polishes. Cynthia is described as a "smoky, blackened peacock teal." Jana is a "medium nude putty creme with grey, mauve and purple undertones." Beautiful colors for Fall/Winter. Swatches coming soon!

Urban Decay F&F Haul

Urban Decay recently had their Friends & Family 25% off sale. Urban Decay is my favorite brand. If fact, the majority of my makeup collection is Urban Decay. Glad I only bought a few things because their Fall Collection (next blog post) came out two days later which I also had to sample.

Here's what I picked up during the sale...

♥Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden: $19
This primer is described as a matte tawny shade. Although original primer potion dries clear, their other primers have color to them. Eden is great to brighten the eye and I noticed it really helps evens out any discoloration on & around the eyelid area.

 ♥Eyeshadow Primer Potion Professional Size: $29
I have been religiously using UDPP for over four years now. It not only helps my makeup stay put longer but eyeshadow is so much easier to apply due to its smooth, creamy texture. I was so happy when Urban Decay finally changed the packaging to a squeeze tube because I could never get the last bit of product out. So when I saw UDPP not only in a squeeze tube but in a "professional size" (150% more product!), I knew I had to pick it up.

♥Lipstick in 5150 $22
Although I dislike the packaging of UD lipsticks (those little swords are dangerous!), I did fall in love with this coral red color. It is semi-sheer but the color is buildable. This lipstick also has glitter but it is tiny. I love this color for summer- it reminds me of how your lips look after eating a cherry popsicle! The only downside to this lipstick is the chemical taste, which after purchasing and doing some research, found out others have complained about this as well.
